I have been following the Wanna cry worm, the Target Hack. and I’ve been thinking over the years there have been many attempts to rid us of the C Drive, Linux Bootables, Google’s Chrome OS they’ve all failed to get traction as I see it mainly because storage was so expensive but now that you can get a TB for under a $100 a year is it finally time real cloud based computing?
Seems that this would remove like 90% of the problems and if you did get infected or hacked you reboot and the threat is gone, basically a fresh install on every startup. I know a home user could make this type of move and I am sure a Business could as most data is offsite anyway.
