
Why do I recommend being fat adapted in general, but especially leading up to a block fast?
First, let's talk about how fat burners differ from sugar burners.
Most of us are sugar burners and inefficient fat burners.
The primary source of fuel for sugar burners is glucose, wherein the body relies on a steady supply of carbs for energy.
The goal, however, is to transition from a sugar burner to a fat burner.
For optimal health, fat burning and weight loss, hormone functioning, energy, and so on...
By eating fewer carbs and more clean, lean protein and healthy fats, we can train our bodies to burn fat for fuel instead of sugar.
Following the diet guidelines and strategies shared in this video will help you transition from a sugar burner to fat burner.
Diet Variation is KEY!
We want our bodies to rely on a diet high in healthy fats not carbs.
Otherwise, dieters, our metabolisms have no motive to shift to fat stores for energy, and we continue to suffer from weight-loss resistance and carb and sugar cravings!
For sugar burners, it is not fun quitting carbs and sugar without preparation.
Not to mention it becomes almost impossible if not unbearable to fast unless you have slowly weaned yourself off carb and sugar.
This is perhaps one of the biggest reasons I always recommend getting fat-adapted prior to a block fast.
